UP board serves Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council primary and upper primary schools in Uttar Pradesh. It started operating in the year 1972. Its functions in the academics include recommending Text Books for Government approval and registering new Secondary Schools by conducting regular inspection & supervision of secondary schools in the State.
